The Canada 100 Million Project exists to disarm polarization and single stories on immigration to Canada – past, present and future. We believe a country as large as Canada will benefit from and can easily accommodate a larger population, which includes newcomers but also families who can afford children, a home, a decent life and the freedom and opportunity to work smart and shape their own future.
The organizer of this project is an Ontario resident – born and raised in the North – who remembers that before the 2020s and digital transformation, most Canadians prized our history as a nation of immigrants and that we need to rediscover that sense of ourselves and our nation.
We have called ourselves a cultural mosaic, in contrast to the melting pot approach of our US neighbours, where immigrant families keep their connection to their home country, enriching Canada with their traditions, resilience, ingenuity.
